Accademia Day

The flat holds the 8:15 slot. Leave by 8:00.

✓ Tickets Confirmed

Accademia Gallery - 8:15 AM, Tuesday September 29. Timed-entry tickets are booked for the first slot of the day. Confirm reservation reference at galleriaaccademiafirenze.it before departure. Save the reference to your phone now.

Morning - Leave Flat at 8:00 AM
Accademia Gallery

Via Ricasoli 60 - 4 minutes' walk from the flat. This is the first slot of the day: best light, thinnest crowds. Plan 90 minutes inside.

Museum
The David takes the breath away. Allow time for the second floor too - the unfinished Michelangelo figures (the Prisoners) and the musical instrument collection are genuinely worth it. Fully accessible with elevators between floors. Main David hall is a long flat corridor, no steps.

Late Morning - By ~10:00 AM
Two Good Options

Both are easy from Accademia. Choose based on energy after the David.

Option A
2 min from Accademia, Piazza San Marco. Fra Angelico frescoes in every monk's cell. One of the quietest museums in Florence. Open Tue-Sun 8:15 AM - 1:50 PM.
EUR 8USD 9.20
Option B
Duomo Area + Coffee
8 min from flat. Cathedral floor free. Combined Duomo ticket covers baptistery, Campanile, crypt, Opera del Duomo Museum. Book at ticket.operaduomo.firenze.it.
Lunch
Trattoria Mario
Lunch Trattoria
Via Rosina 2R, near San Lorenzo market - 10 min walk from flat. Open Mon-Sat, lunch only, 12:00 PM - 3:30 PM. No reservations, cash only, daily handwritten menu on the wall. Communal tables. Four generations since 1953. Arrive by noon.
EUR 10-15 USD 11-17 Cash only
Afternoon
Piazza del Duomo + The Pedestrian Spine

Duomo exterior is free. Baptistery interior (mosaics, Ghiberti doors) worth 30 min. Via dei Calzaiuoli and Piazza della Repubblica run flat - good for afternoon window shopping and gelato.

Skip the dome climb today. 463 steps, stair-only, narrow spiral. Better panoramas are at Piazzale Michelangelo or the Campanile (414 steps with balcony breaks). The Opera del Duomo Museum is the strong recommendation instead - 3 floors with elevators, Donatello, Michelangelo's Pieta, and dramatically undervisited.

Evening
Dinner - Two Options
Primary - Book in Advance

Via dei Girolami 28R - 18 min walk, just south of Ponte Vecchio near the Uffizi. 1200s-era cellar, traditional Tuscan menu, approx 35 seats, reservations essential. Good staging dinner before Wednesday's Uffizi visit - 2 min from the gallery. Open Tue-Thu 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM.

EUR 35-55 USD 38-60

Alternative if preferring easy: Ristorante Accademia - 5 min from flat, open 7 PM-11 PM.
